Download Now !Lava has launched a couple of new Android smartphones in the Iris series, with the Lava Iris 503 and Lava Iris 352e smartphones being made available at the online store Flipkart. The Lava Iris 503 comes with a 5-inch qHD display and some mid-range specifications along with the pricing of Rs. 8990 which seems quite decent for the specifications given.
The smartphone looks quite similar to that of the Micromax smartphones with the white color, as it comes with the metallic finish at the side panels, but the camera area on the back panel looks quite neat with the space getting a black oval coloring. The 5-inch qHD display on the front has a screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, while under the hood there is a 1.2 GHz Dual-core processor along with 512 MB RAM. Running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Lava Iris 503 has got a 5-megapixel camera on the rear side assisted by an LED flash, and there is a 1.2-megapixel front shooter.
The smartphone has got the Dual-SIM capability, and there is a 2000 mAh battery included in it. The internal storage packed in is 4GB, and the Iris 503 has a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion, to the maximum of 32GB. The Dual-SIM connectivity comes with the Dual Standby, just like most of the other Dual SIM smartphones from Lava. The connectivity options included are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MicroUSB 2.0.
For the price of Rs. 8,990 in the Indian market, the Iris 503 from Lava is a pretty decent smartphone which can compete the Xolo A600 and a few others like the Zen Ultrafone 502 qHD smartphone, although some similar Android phones from Micromax have a bigger screen than this.
