Android 4.4.1 KitKat Update for Nexus 5 Brings Camera Improvement [Update Info]

The Android 4.4 KitKat update wasn’t perfect already, is what one can sense from the new 4.4.1 update
 which comes with several improvements to the camera in the Nexus 5 from Google. We did complain about the camera, but felt that the 8-megapixel shooter could do nothing more than that, but Google knew that the Nexus 5 could do much better with the camera with the software tweaks, and thus the Android 4.4.1 update is being sent. This update is being rolled out for even the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 7 LTE 2013 edition.



The camera update comes in different sections, and these are divided as:

• Autofocus fixing
• Speeding up the performance of the camera app
• More contrast and vibrant colours in the photographs
• Better exposure, and the white balance
• Changes to the interface of the camera app

There is even ability to pinch-zoom the viewfinder added in the HDR+ mode, and the shutter lag has been reduced. Although the update is being sent to the three devices, the main advantage can be taken by only the Nexus 5 devices because the 4.4.1 for the other two Nexus devices does just a few bug fixes.
According to The Verge, fixing the autofocus has already fixed a few other issues too, and fixing the motion blur is also a possibility now. The pictures are surely going to look more lively and vibrant, instead of how they dull they look right now. The Verge has done a few tests with the camera and the changes look brilliant. We would update you as soon as the update is received and we do the tests to check out the changes made in the camera app.

Recently, Motorola too had sent an OTA update for Moto X camera improvements, which too had a lot of software adjustments to make the capture quality better.
