New Delhi, December 09, 2013: The Chinese phone manufacturer, Gionee has just announced the third generation of their Pioneer line up. The Gionee Pioneer P3 was unveiled in the Indian market with an INR 7499 price tag ($121). The Gionee P3 is fully loaded to take on the best in the range.
This mid-range Dual Sim Smartphone features a 4.3 inch (WVGA) 480×800 pixels touch screen supporting 16 Million colors. The Smartphone comes with 4 GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB). This Dual standby Smartphone is loaded with Face Unlocking and Guest Mode giving extra security and privacy.
On the back, there is a 5 Mega Pixel Auto Focus camera with LED flash and features like Gesture recognition, Face detection, Smile detection, Geo tagging, Eraser functioning, Panoramic view and touch to focus. The camera is enhanced with HD video recording. It also features a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera sitting above the screen.
The Gionee Pioneer P3 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). This Smartphone is powered by a 1700mAh Lithium-Ion battery and inside the body you will find a MediaTek MT6582 processor, an upgrade from the MediaTek MT657. There is a Mali 400 graphics processor, 1.2GHz CPU and 512 megabytes of RAM. The smartphone would be available in both the black and white color options. Gionee had recently launched the Elife E7 smartphone which was available from December 5th in China and later in the other markets.
The Pioneer P3 has 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, and GPS connectivity (via A-GPS). It comes with an in built video player that plays different format video in full screen, the Volume & Brightness is control by vertical movement of finger on screen. This Smartphone supports Over the Air (OTA) and allows software upgrades ensuring it to be smart.
