Samsung has just announced the successor to the Galaxy Grand, as the Galaxy Grand 2 comes into the scene with some upgraded specs which finally look quite decent compared to the Galaxy Grand, which had a 5-inch touchscreen but the remaining specs didn’t make it a real good smartphone for the users. One of the best parts about this smartphone is the resemblance to the Galaxy Note 3 on the back side, because of the faux leather which makes it look quite excellent. The company has just announced it and we are yet to find the pricing details of the Galaxy Grand 2.
The Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a 5.25 inch touchscreen with the HD display having a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and the internal powering is quite different from the previous generation including the RAM, which has been upgraded to 1.5GB. The processor is said to be a quad-core one clocking at 1.2 GHz. The smartphone would run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with the TouchWiz UI. There is a 8-megapixel camera on the rear side with the LED flash and 1080p video recording, while the front 1.9-megapixel camera does HD video recording.
It’s a Dual SIM phone just like the previous version, and the special features of the Galaxy Grand 2 include Multi Window, Story Album, S Translator, S Travel, Sound & Shot, Samsung Hub, Group Play, Samsung Link and lots more, and these are special for the TouchWiz UI. As of now the press shots show the white color backing, but the phone is going to come in Black, White and Pink colors very soon in the market. There is a 2600 mAh battery packed in, which is the same capacity that was included in the Galaxy S4.
