Sony at CES has introduced a camcorder that is capable of shooting 4K
video at 24P and also 30P. This Sony’s Handycam FDR-AX100 is priced at
$1,999.99 which is comparatively less, considering its ability to take
high quality 4K videos, giving the camcorder a 1-inch sensor as it was
in its own RX100.
This FDR-AX100 is a compact camcorder targeted for fanatic home shooters, with a wide angle lens of 29 mm and giving the shooter an option of zooming with the large optical zoom range of 12x. This camcorder has Sony’s largest sensors with built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) and Wi-Fi that lets you to connect to the internet and access it wirelessly. This also lets the users to stream video to a TV or it can be controlled from a Smart phone. The Wifi feature is very important these days for sharing the large content easily from devices and ensuring that your work area is wire and clutter free.
Earlier Sony’s FDR-AX1 was the first camcorder from them to shoot at 4K that was priced at a whopping $4,499.99 which is very high to be considered by the users. So this FDR-AX100 is the second device from Sony with 4K video shooting capability coming for a mere $1,999.99 bringing a relief to the users who dream to own a camcorder to shoot at 4K.
In the press release Sony repeatedly pointed out on its camera and stated that it will be able to capture beautiful bokeh with ease. This FDR-AX100 camcorder is 74 percent smaller and 66 percent lighter than its predecessor AX1, making it easier to carry with you where ever you go and also makes it easier to hold while shooting. This is pretty much mainly targeted to the nerds who are home shooters and excited about shooting.
I am very much excited to get my hands on this device very soon, and shoot videos at 4K. Whether you are a professional shooter or a starter, this is the device you should be looking out for.
