ASUS has announced a line of new Smart phones in the “Asus Zenfone”
series. This lineup includes three modules, 4 inch 5 inch and 6 inch
display sizes with varying specifications, suiting just about all the
users coming in metallic colors. All these are low end devices targeted
for budget minded customers.
All these devices will roll out with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and will be upgraded to 4.4 KitKat very soon. The ZenFone 4 is coming in 6 different colors and the other two in the series with 4 colors. These devices will also feature the company’s new user interface, ZenUI on top.
The ZenFone 4 the lowest Smart phone featuring a 4-inch 840 x 400 LCD screen, powered by an Intel Atom Z2520 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The storage of the device is not mention, but it can be extended with a micro SD card slot and a mere 1170 mAh battery that can be removable. This also features a 5 MP camera on the rear and will be coming in multiple colors for the users.
The ZenFone 5 is a mid range device that flaunts a 5 inch IPS screen with full 720p resolution along with PenTouch and GloveTouch features making it easier for the users to use it with stylus or gloved hand. Inside the device we can find an Intel Atom Z2520 processor running at 2 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM. There is an 8 MP camera with f/2.0 lens and PixelMaster low light shooting. We can also find a front camera with 2 MP. The battery is little better than the ZenFone 4 with 2050 mAh and it memory can be extended via micro SD card slot.
The high end device in the list is the ZenFone 6, with identical specifications of the ZenFone 5, with a 6 inch screen with the same full 720p resolution and backs a 13 MP rear camera with “PixelMaster” feature for brighter shots in the dark and this one with a bigger battery of 3240 mAh. This device will be available in four different colors.
The pricing and availability of these device will be varying according to the regions, but these are budget friendly Smart Phones.
