ZTE Projector Hotspot with Android 4.2, 5000 mAh Battery & LTE Hotspot – Specs & Details

ZTE might not be the first Android smartphone with a projector (as we have seen Samsung Galaxy Beam, iBall Andi 4a and such), but this for sure is a combination of a projector, an LTE hotspot and it comes power packed with a good battery capacity. With the built-in DLP projector, the ZTE Projector Hotspot comes with the LTE hotspot feature having a support for connecting up to 8 devices at the same time.
To provide a good time for projecting the content to 1080p resolution and also working as a Wi-Fi hotspot, this projector hotspot is power packed with 5000 mAh battery. Apart from this, there are a few different connectivity options such as HDMI, headset jack, Wi-Fi. The device has got a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with the WVGA display having a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and the device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

• About the projector: It is the 100 lumens projector that comes with the instant digital media projection for up to 10 feet / 120 inch width and that would be at 1080p resolution, and the contrast ratio in the projector is 1000:1.
• About the hotspot – The hotspot powered by Android would let you view images and watch videos stored on the device or over the Internet, and the content can be shared from a laptop via HDMI or wirelessly mirror the phone or tablet.

Until we get to a hands-on experience, we can’t be sure how good this would be, but when you compare with the other portable ones like the Galaxy Beam from Samsung, the Projector Hotspot from ZTE does promise a little higher. There is no official details about the pricing and availability of the projector hotspot, but the company is planning to bring this to the US market sometime in 2014, and if possible, this would be via a few carriers in the US and then in the International market.
