Google acquires Bitspin, Makers of Timely Alarm Clock for Android

Google has acquired Bitspin, the makers of the Android Timely alarm clock app. It’s also now announced that the app is free forever now, including in-app purchase, isn’t that exciting? that should have happened only when the giant like Google becomes the new owner. It also said that Bitspin will work with Google to build new applications in the similar niches. Timely has a neat gesture based UI (User Interface), a Smart Rise mode that slowly the sound ahead of the time in order to wake the user and has the ability to synchronize alarms between devices.
In an announcement the Zurich- based company said that- We’re thrilled to announce that Bitspin is joining Google, where we’ll continue to do what we love: building great products that are delightful to use. For new and existing users, Timely will continue to work as it always has. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded our app and provided feedback along the way; we truly appreciate all your support.
Timely Android Alarm Clock that was introduces back in August 2013 got updated to 1.2.7 version few hour earlier and we are we are doubtful of  future updates since it is moving to Google. This is an app which has the numbers on its digital clock morphing around whenever they switch over. Setting alarms is as easy at your phone via voice input or if you like more of a tactile approach, then drag and tap your finger around your screen to navigate the app’s scheduling capabilities.
Anyhow these companies did not reveal the price of their deal, but we would be hoping that the new app for Google would be same as the Timely app that was innovative and eye catching with the altering interface, color themes, sound options and the challenges given to you to stop the alarm clock.
Google has been up front in the news these days with the acquisitions of many deals including the Israel-based mapping startup Waze in June. We shouldnt be surprised if Google continue to tie up with many companies.
