Huawei Ascend Mate 2 Android Phablet with 6.1-inch HD Display – Specs, Details

The CES 2014 is getting heated up with all new devices, and competition is increasing between the companies. Now Huawei has unveiled its Ascend Mate 2 4g in a press conference today in Las Vegas. This refreshed Ascend Mate features the same screen size and resolution of 6.1 inch and 720p, as it was with its predecessor that was the first 6 inch device to enter the world of phablets.
This Ascend Mate 2 has been slimed down to 9.5 mm from 9.9 mm and an IPS panel has been used which is claimed to be better than the older versions of the phablets. The device will roll out with Android 4.4.4 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI 2.0 on top and is powered by quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz with Mali 450 GPU. There is a 2 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of on board memory that can be extended via microSD card slot.


It has a 13 MP BSI sensor rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording that is an improvement over 8 MP camera from its predecessor and a 5 MP front facing camera. Let us have a look on the specifications of Ascend Mate 2.

The  Ascend Mate 2 is a useful update over its previous version providing 4G connectivity and reverse charging functionality for taking advantage of the 4050 mAh battery that is rated for a whooping 100 hours of music on a single charge according to the company.
