Omate Smartwatch with Jellybean 4.2 OS & SmartPhone Capabilities for $199 – Specs & Features

With an ever growing list of companies which are making smart watches, here comes one more company which promises to be different than the rest which is Omate smartwatch. This watch was recently launched in the Kickstarter project portal of which we have also mentioned the demo video below. The best part of this watch is that it not only comes with the jellybean 4.2 but also comes with the capabilities of the smartphone which otherwise is still missing in most of the smart watches.

Omate watch can be either a second screen for your smartphone or it can be your smartphone itself. The small wearable runs Android 4.2.2 and includes support for 2G and 3G networks: You can accept or place voice calls and download data with the Omate.

By looking at the smartphone you will almost feel that this is a replica of Moto Actv smart watch which also had FM radio, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Omate is pretty much having the polished user interface but may not be appreciated by all android users as it could have been definitely better. This device comes with 1.54 inches of touch screen display. This smart watch also comes with slots for a microSIM and microSD card.
