Lava had announced two Android phones yesterday, with the larger Lava Iris 503 which has a 5-inch display and some mid-range specs, and the other one is the Lava Iris 352e which lies in the budget range, and thus are the specifications. Lava has introduced this phone for the price of Rs. 4,290 and it is available already for sale on the online store Flipkart. Celkon had introduced the Celkon Campus A15 smartphone some time back, and the Lava Iris 352e looks quite a competition to this, in the low budget range.
The Iris 352e comes with the HVGA display having a screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and there is a 1GHz Dual-core processor under the hood, which is backed by 256 MB of RAM. The ROM could pose an issue for users who wanted to install some heavy apps or games from the Play Store, because there is just 512MB of ROM although one would be able to expand it using the MicroSD card.
On the rear side, there is a 2-megapixel camera and the front side has a 0.3-megapixel VGA shooter. The battery included in the smartphone has a capacity of 1450 mAh, and the phone has the Dual-SIM with the Dual standby, while the connectivity options included are 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB 2.0. The Iris 352e would run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. This looks like a very decent smartphone for those who wanted to try out an Android phone with a low budget in hand.
Lava had recently launched a couple 3G Android phones too, for the users who specifically needed the 3G connectivity in their smartphones – Lava 3G 356 and Lava 3G 402 both of which ran the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
