Sony holding an event on Jan 14th in China, possibly launching Sony Xperia Z1 Mini (Xperia Z1f)


The Sony Xperia Z1 Mini dubbed as Xperia Z1F is finally official and set for a release on January 14th in China with all the rumors that trended around earlier. The smaller version is going to be the company’s latest flagship device. Last year the Japanese variant of the Z1 mini was released for the NTT Docomo network. And we aren’t a hundred percent sure whether this is the Xperia Z1f or something else, as Sony has just posted a picture with the four colors, the ones which were the options with which the Xperia Z1f was launched in Japan.Following the launch in China we can expect an international roll out of this device very soon. According to the teaser from Sony in its Chinese website we can expect the device to come in to the market with four variants showing Black, White, Lime and Pink confirming the phone existence. The website also suggested that the handset will become official on January 14th.

This device is a compact version of its flagship Xperia Z1 with same hardware capabilities supporting a quad core snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB of RAM. The 4.3 inch Smart phone should feature a 20.7 MP camera on its back with full HD video recording capabilities with Sony G lens with a 27mm wide angle f/2.0 aperture custom with Sony Exmor RS image sensor, BIONZ image processing engine accompanied with a front camera of 2 MP that was seen in the Xperia Z1.
